The Nurse and the Lady

The Nurse and the Lady

by Rainbow2011

See the stalking of the nurse,
I think he's angry at the curse.

He finds it hard to see the spanner,
Overshadowed by the happy manor.

Who is that flapping near the beach?
I think she'd like to eat the microfiche.

She is but an able lady,
Admired as she sits upon a caddie.

Her old car is just a bird,
It needs no gas, it runs on function word.

She's not alone she brings a fly,
a pet fly, and lots of sky.

The fly likes to chase a kangaroo,
Especially one that's in the avenue.

The nurse shudders at the deadly rabbit
He want to leave but she wants the kabat.

Auto Praise for The Nurse and the Lady

"Ooh! I just love the rhymes in this work - 'nurse'/'curse' and 'beach'/'microfiche'. It takes real talent to come up with pairings like that!"
- The Daily Tale
"'The Nurse and the Lady' is a crime against poetry!"
- Enid Kibbler
"Um.. As much as I like this poem, isn't 'manor' somewhat scraping the barrel when trying to rhyme 'spanner'?"
- Hit the Spoof
"Only a true poet can make the rabbit sound as deadly as Rainbow2011 has!"
- Zob Gloop
"Can a car really run on function word?"
- Betty Borison
